Ciudad Quesada is an urbanization on the Costa
Blanca - the white coast, famous for its fine unspoiled beaches, miles and
miles long, as well as for its excellent climate. The urbanization is situated
a few kilometers from the coast, nine kilometers to the northwest of Torrevieja
and about 40 kilometers to the south of Alicante. The landscape is hilly,
desert-like as in the Wild West. There are vast plantations with orange-
and lemontrees. Towards the interior of the land lies a wide mountain range
and in the opposite direction you can see the blue Mediterranean.

| The
urbanization has been developed by Justo Quesada. It all started in the
eighties and it is growing every year. So far a couple of thousand families
have chosen to live here. Most of them come regurlarly a few weeks or months
each year, others live here the whole year. They come from the nordic countries,
England, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and other countries. Many
Spanish people have also moved to this area. |
|
Quesada consists mainly of detached villas of different size and type but
there are also apartments/duplexes. The latter usually have 1-3 rooms and
are built around their own private swimming pool. The urbanization is quite
well served with shops, restaurants, banks, post office, pharmacy, doctor
and various service firms. Furthermore there is an aquapark and a 18 holes
golf course. | |

From Quesada it is easy to reach a number of interesting destinations for
an excursion - you can for example visit the town of Elche with its famous
forest of palm trees, the town of Murcia with its equally famous cathedral
or many small Spanish towns with notable tourist sights.
